Advantages: It is interesting hearing about some of the people's lives.

Disadvantages: A lot of the people in there are very dull and grumpy

Day 12 in the big brother house and all the celebrities are sleeping.... As are the viewers!!

Depending on the mood I am in depends on what I think of big brother. To be completely honest I prefer normal big brother to celebrity big brother. This is mainly because the celebrities are all has beens and I usually have no idea who they are. This year is slightly different, as I have heard of a couple of them. They are again has beens but they were once known.

The idea of big brother is to lock up some celebrities into a house and shove a load of cameras in so we can see and hear everything they do. There have been some interesting conversations this year and we have learnt a bit about the people in the house.

The housemates have to do challenges and tasks to get money to buy food and tokens, which can be redeemed, for hot water, treats and mystery prizes. The house can be a very intense place for the housemates as there is nowhere to hide. Generally, during the series there will be some conflict and tears, which makes it more interesting for the viewer.

This year inside the big brother house is Ben who used to be in a boy band he seems to be a bit of a ladies man and the press have said he dumped his girlfriend before going into the house as he thought it would give him more chance to win. Coolio is my favourite so far he is winding everyone up in the house. He is very loud and cheeky to the other housemates. Coolio is well known for singing gangsters paradise he is a great artist and I loved him singing his song in the house however, he s very big headed and thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread! Latoya is Michael Jackson's sister she used to be a singer but to be honest I have never heard of her! Lucy is a 24-year-old model she seems to go unnoticed in the house and I have not heard or seen much about her. Michelle is a singer and presenter again I have no idea who she is and find her boring! Mutya is a singer and songwriter in the sugerbabes not much of an influence in the house and not very interesting to watch. Terry seems like a sweet good-natured bloke I had not heard of him before he went into the big brother house but he is a broadcaster. He is doing his best in the house to help people and entertain. Tina is great I am finding her very funny and bubbly she is famous for being an actress in shameless. She is keeping the house alive and if they evict her, it will get boring! Tommy is a politician he seems to have planted some seeds to create interesting contestations but he is not very interesting in my opinion. Ulrika is famous for being on the television she is better known for having loads of failed relationships and kids with different men. She is not enjoying it in the house and is very grumpy. Cheer up or get out!! Verne rocks he was mini me in Austin Powers he is making the house more interesting to watch he is a sweet person and has had a very interesting life!

Every week the housemates nominate other housemates. The housemates with the highest number of nominations are put up for a public vote where the public can phone to keep in or vote out housemates. I never bother phoning as I think it is a waste of money and I do not really care who is in the house. Ulrika should go though because she is so grumpy and boring to watch! Latoya, Tina, Coolio and Verne are interesting house mates but the rest can go!
