Advantages: Evictions and just seeing who is going in

Disadvantages: Z list celebs, boring celebs, tired format

I used to really like the big brother format - it was interesting to see people in an alien environment and see how they would interact with each other, but now it all seems to have changed.

The format is so well known that everyone knows what to expect whne they go in and are just taking part to raise their own profile.

Each time celebrity big brother is on the celebrities seem to get less and less well known or more and more failing. Most people will remember the early versions of this programme with Vanessa Feltz having her mad half hour but will anyone remember anything about this years group of "celebrities". They are all so quiet and unassuming there is no interest at all.

I think that perhaps this genre of show has really had its day. I know that we will have the Non celebrity version in the summer as they are currently holding the auditions but I expect it will have the usual set of "Hello wannabes" only interested in fame and fortune at any cost.

The only parts of the show that still retain any interest for me are the evictions so that you can see the mock surprised looks and the relief on others face (Ulrika is very good at this bit - followed by the very hollow hugs)

Summary: The whole big brother format has had its day, more interesting celebs needed
