Advantages: Funny and shows you the real side to celebrities

Disadvantages: Anything and I mean anything can happen, like the 2007's race row incident

I first watched Celebrity Big Brother 4 with Michael Barrymore and when I watched the 2007 version or the series 5 version as it might be known, I was disgusted.

Big Brother is where people go into the "Big Brother House" and take part in daily tasks to earn their right to stay. Every so often someone is "evicted" and lose out on a chance to win. At the end of a number of weeks someone wins the show and a cash prize. Other housemates nominate for people. So its basically fight for your place to stay and win. But this is the Celebrity version where Celebrities like Michael Barrymore, Dirk Benedict, Mark Owen and more recently Verne Troyer have taken part.

Celebrity Big Brother 4 gave Michael Barrymore another chance at a career after his downfall with a murder case from a few years back. Anyways I loved that series until the next one when I just lost it with some of the housemates.

Celebrity Big Brother 5 became the most controversial show in history after a vicious argument broke out between Jade Goody (famous for being on Big Brother 3) and Shilpa Shetty (Bollywood actress). This lead to Jade Goody being extremely racist towards Shilpa and eventually lead to her eviction through public vote. Jade then soon had to face the public over her racism row and soon regretted it. This series included an ultimate legend Dirk Benedict, who is famous for playing Face in the A-Team. Other housemates included Jo O'Meara, Danielle Lloyd and Tito Jackson (yes Michael Jackson's brother). Shilpa Shetty eventually went on to win the show.

Series 6 returned in 2009 with 11 new housemates including Coolio (Gangsta's Paradise rapper), Verne Troyer (Mini Me from Austin Powers), Ben Adams (from A1) and Ulrika Johnson (Gladiators presentor). C4 didnt bring back Celebrity Big Brother in 2008 because of the previous years race race controversy. But they bought it back in 2009 after a radical change. This was one of the most funniest things I've seen on TV. Stuff like Verne imitating Coolio, Verne crashing his mobility scooted drunkenly into the diary room door and Ulrika and Verne singing "Endless Love" as part of a task. As tis has only finished recently we are waiting to see whose careers have been relaunched. Ulrika won the series with Terry Christian (The Word presentor) coming 2nd, Coolio 3rd, Verne 4th and Ben 5th. Former Sugababe Mutya Buena walked out of the house.

I think this is a good show to watch and to see the real side the celebrities. There is also a live feed playing at different times on E4 so you can see whats actually going on there and then, though about 15 mins behind. It can also be funny watching them perform tasks.

When its on again you should watch it and see what you think. it is worth watching.
