You think Channel 4 News is uncensored? Is the role of C4 news to pretend to be radical, but to secretly censor out anything that would be too damaging to the powers-that-be? Try using the C4 news forum: try printing detailed information suggesting Osama bin Laden works for the CIA, or something similar. It will be censored. according to - http://www.propagandamatrix.com/shayler_gate.html "Tony Blair... ordered a D-Notice on British media reporting.... One cannot say there is no room for news on telly: BBC News, Newsnight on BBC2, ITV News, Channel 5 News and Channel 4 News. But above all the news programmes available to terrestrial viewers the Channel 4 programme is in my opinion the most interesting. Hosted by Jon Snow (and others), this 1-hour programme introduces all the news of the day, with long and straightforward reports from all over the world, as the other programmes do, but aims to get more in deep by offering face-to-face interviews, panels, and short documentaries, usually proposed in the second half of the slot. The idea behind this news programme is to offer an impartial and ... Read the complete review

Why are Channel four news and the station in general more democratic and concise than all the other news leaders. They have the super smart and probing John Snow who doesn’t let the interviewee of the hook on tricky questions. Suffers no rhetoric and bs. A lot of the other presenters are disproportionately ethnic minority with a better representation of whose likely to watch this news broadcast. They are not as attractive as ITV and the BBC which is even more reassuring to the man in the street who just once the news on not to patronized. ITV news is like a sort of bedtime story to reassure the working man that the sun ... Read the complete review

The Channel 4 news main bulletin goes out every weeknight at 7pm (for about an hour), Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 7.30 (30 mins). I'd recommend this news if you want in depth coverage. It's not going to deliver news stories as fast and furiously as Sky, but deals with each story fully. For the main headlining items there is often over 10 minutes of coverage. They do a short weather and sport report also. I find that alongside this attention to detail, the stories are delivered in a very clear straightforward way, they get to the point. C4 news have unearthed many hidden stories over the years, it's investigative journalism at it's ... Read the complete review
