Surprisingly however, there have been three series of the show and it has attracted viewing figures of up to 2,500,000 people at a time, quite an achievement. The show begins by charlotte singing a made up song which relates to events which have taken ... more

Premium Review Charlotte Church show: Charlotte Church the new Jonathan Ross..........not yet! (454 words)

Charlotte Church first shot to fame as a young Welsh classical singer. In recent years however her image has changed dramatically. She is now married to Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson and has a couple of kids too. She has practically given up singing professionally and is now more interested on a appearing on television. In September 2006 she hosted the first episode of her chat show 'the charlotte church show,' on channel four on a Friday evening for fifty minutes, most thought it was deemed for failure as she appeared quite nervous when talking to guests, would swear unnecessarily and show off way too much; which was annoying to say the least and did ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not a church to worship in (323 words)

It is a shame when you see someone who has some talent totally wasting it on a trashy TV show however that is were Charlotte Church has found herself. The girl from the valleys with the voice of an angel is now stuck with making crude jokes and waffling on about her celebrity life with other B listers on her own Channel 4 show which goes out on a Sunday night I think at 10.00 although I may be wrong as I have not watched it for a while having decided that it was not going to improve after the first few episodes. The show starts badly with Charlotte singing a rather awful song which is supposed to be funny but rarely is, going for shock value rather than biting ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Charlotte Church show: Just stick to singing! (311 words)

Charlotte Church has been in the limelight for what seems like forever now since rising to fame as a classical singer at a very young age. She has a fantastic voice but that's is about it, having watched her on many other peoples chat shows and now having watched her attempt to run her own it is clear she has little or no personality. She seems very awkward on her show and it is more like the guests she has on run the show rather than her. She is fine when reading prepared lines and questions from the autocue but when the conversation goes off course and her guests become spontaneous she look embarrassed and does not know what to say or when to say it. On a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Stick to singing and ruining the Welsh rugby team (269 words)

Charlotte Church shot to fame as a young classical singer with a wonderful voice, the sort of singer that my grandmother would want to listen to and buy her music and she made her millions before rebelling a bit and trying to carve out a pop career, being rom Wales she sort of copied Posh Spice but being Welsh she married a rugby player instead of a footballer however his career also nose dived as well under the glare of publicity. Now she has her one show on Channel Four which is a sort of cross between a chat show and a hidden camera show, the problem is that it is not very good at either. In the show she does come across as quite down to earth and not at ...  Read the complete review
