It is a shame when you see someone who has some talent totally wasting it on a trashy TV show however that is were Charlotte Church has found herself. The girl from the valleys with the voice of an angel is now stuck with making crude jokes and waffling on about her celebrity life with other B listers on her own Channel 4 show which goes out on a Sunday night I think at 10.00 although I may be wrong as I have not watched it for a while having decided that it was not going to improve after the first few episodes.

The show starts badly with Charlotte singing a rather awful song which is supposed to be funny but rarely is, going for shock value rather than biting satire, trying to show that she is just one of the girls who swears, smokes and drinks with the best of them. Given the way that she often appears to have been squeezed into a much too tight dress she might want to curb the drinking, while it is nice to see a fuller figure on TV she could do with some fashion lessons to make the most of her natural looks as she is a pretty girl and gives hope to those of us who are not a size six.

The rest of the show is made up of a chat show section where she chats to various guests and a few hidden camera spoofs which sometimes work but just as often do not. The finale is another song however this is a lot better, often a duet with one of the guests and there are some really good vocal mixes in this part of the show, sadly it is the end as it is often the best bit.

Not a great show and the sooner she finds something else to show off her singing talents the better.
