It never ceases to amaze me at people's generosity, and how the human race can come together at any time to show can unified it can be. One of the main ways in which this happens is charity, and Children In Need is one of the biggest charities in the country, and certainly one of the most advertised and celebrated (if that is the right word) charities we have. Each year, Terry Wogan adopts his usual roguish pose and nuances as he takes to the stage at 7pm for an entire evening of entertainment, documentaries and pledging to raise as much money as possible for the deprived children in today's society. I must be getting a little soft in my old age but I found myself crying at this years Children in Need. There seems to have been two major stories in the news this week about children being killed by their own parents. I think it is great that a programme such as Children in Need can help children enjoy a better life. The true life stories are gentle reminder to some of us that life is precious and that we should enjoy what we have and appreciate everything around us. The children shown on the videos are so brave and are a true inspiration. Children in Need started in 20 years as a radio program and has come such a long way since raising over £460 ...

Well 'children in need' night looms upon once again, so i wonder what frolics celebrities will get up to tonight, to try and make the nation pledge as much money as they can for various children's charities?? Children in need has been existent since way back in 1927, when at first it was a 5 minute radio slot on christmas day.
