Disadvantages: It is awful

If the kids were sitting in front of the TV during the summer holidays with glazed eyes and open mouths, chances are they were watching Chucklevision.

If I were being polite about the program, I would describe it as awful. It is supposed to be a childrens comedy... problem is our children simply do not laugh at it ( and believe me they do giggle at most things ).

Quite how the idea of two men carrying a plank of wood backwards and forwards saying 'to you', 'to me' ad infinitum can be funny to any age group is not entirely convincing.

The jokes are either too old for young children, or too silly for older children... the net effect is that nobody laughs ( do they ? ).

My advice to the children when it appears on BBC Choice is turn over, at least Bugs Bunny is on the Cartoon network.
