Advantages: silly humour

Disadvantages: poor jokes

Chucklevision appears to have been running for years and years. It is a kids tv show, starring Barry and Paul Chuckle. The show focuses on the brothers ending up in hapless situations.

Here are my thoughts about the programme:

* It has been running too long and a lot of the jokes are getting tedious and you can see them coming a mile off

* Barry and Paul really need to lose the facial hair. It just is not a good look and never was!

* The music in the show is often poor and could have done with being invigorated back in the nineties.

* I have seen the pair live and their ability to perform live is not quite as funny as it is on tv and that is saying something!

* The show would have been better as a series of little sketches, rather than one long storyline. This means an idea is flogged to death and you have to wait half an hour for an obvious conclusion

* They have earnt a place in the hall of fame just for lasting so long, but the comedy is low brow and even for children it is often not stimulating enough. I would have liked to have seen the brothers grappling with some more topical and relelvent scenarios in the show

Verdict: Passable

Summary: poor
