Disadvantages: but it is the cheapest show ever

It says it all when I can safely say the funniest thing the BBC have produced in years shows on kids TV and features two ageing giants of the custard-pie comedy we left behind with Noel Edmonds.

Yes, can you believe it - Chucklevision is STILL going and it's as good as it always was. Barry is still an idiot and keeps getting into scrapes (anybody who knows exactly how many scrapes he's got into by now please let me know!) and Paul is still the straight man who has to slap Barry around the head every now and again to keep him in check.

And it's hilarious. In fact I reckon its funnier now than it ever was - slapstick comedy at its best and certainly as good as any Abbot and Costello movie I've ever seen. Paul and Barry deal with every day situations and manage to spoof them to the hilt.

The acting is as dreadful as it always was, the show looks like its been made on a handy cam with a budget of under a tenner and the other actors inteh show are clearly all members of the public helping out out of the goodness of their hearts - maybe we all want to be on Chucklevision.

And yet this two-bit operation is funnier than any of the new comedys scripted by the so-called 'hilarious' Jennifer Saunders, Lenny Henry and Ben Elton. The humour may well be as basic as you can get, but it's really really funny.

I know it's meant for kids, but if you get a chance, watch an episode and be prepared for laughing till it hurts at the ludicrous antics of Britains most underrated comedy duo.

And no I'm not on acid. I honesty believe all this.
