Claire Strutton was the replacement for Nasty Nick, who was evicted from the Big Brother house for cheating. Being the new girl in the house, chances were that Claire would not stay very long and in fact, she was evicted after the minimum two weeks. I felt really sorry for Claire even before we knew who she was. At the stage she entered the house the 5 who were left were getting on really well and had bonded after the Nick incident. It was good forsight on the part of the programme makers to not allow her to be up for eviction the first week she was there. I think the only way she'd have survived any time in the house at all was if the remaining housemates weren't getting along very well and she came in and helped unite them in some way. Claire was the biggest waste of time in the household, and the fact that she only was there for twelve weeks is a good thing. She is not attractive, nor intelligent, and telling everyone you've had a breast job to me defeats the object! She befriend Craig because he was a desperate scouser, and she alienated all of the other housemates in the process. Putting Claire in the house after Nick was kicked out to me was pointless because she had inside information, but yet even she couldn't use it to her advantage and was voted out at the first opportunity. What I could never grasp in regards to Big Brother was just how unpopular Claire was when she entered the house. In to replace Nick she never seemed to be pretty normal and was never anything other than nice to the other contestants, but for the most part they (especially Anna and Mel) were not very nice to her. She was evicted at the earliest opportunity, but at least having sat around in a bikini and mentioning her plastic surgery for long enough she got herself a modelling contract with a bra company. Claire came into the house to replace "nasty" Nick Bateman, and was only there for 2 weeks before being voted out by the public. Her and Craig got on like a house on fire, they flirted all the time and were always playfully messing about with each other.
