Clone is a bbc comedy sketch, about a gone wrong military experiment, designed to breed the next generation of "super solider". Clone, was a failure, in fact, the clone lacked basic intellect skills, and couldn't fight for its life. The general who backed the project then decided to exterminate both the clone, and the professor who created him. Back in the golden years of TV when sitcoms were funny and also on a regular timeslots these managed to cheer people up and also give them something to talk about the next day, probably the best examples of this would be Only Fools and Horses and To the Manor Born that both managed to get in the region of 15 million viewers for their respective final episodes. Keep in mind that in those days there were only four channels and the conversation in the school playgrounds always revolved around what was on TV the night before. Whilst flicking through the channels last night, I had the misfortune of stumbling across 'Clone', a BBC 3 'comedy' starring Jonathan Pryce, Mark Gatiss, and Stuart McLoughlin. Dr Victor Blenkinsop (Pryce) has created a prototype super soldier, but unfortunately his creation turns out to be a harmless and Frank Spencer-esque fool named Albert (McLoughlin). Both the doctor and the clone go on the run, avoiding the dastardly Colonel Black (Gatiss) and his security agents who are intent on killing them.
