Advantages: Good gentle fun, which is strangely watchable

Disadvantages: Nothing really

This is a strange programme all in all. Narrated by the excellent comedy writer David Quantick, we follow a set of couples on a coach, the twist in our reality obsessed times is that at the end of each leg of the coach journey one couple is voted off of the coach and a new couple replace them.

The show is on Channel 4 on weekday afternoons and there is an edition on More 4 on Sunday afternoons where they show 4 or 5 episodes one after the other.

The show is actually quite nice in a chilled out way, the couples are generally older couples looking for a break or younger couples knowingly going on their because it is a cult television show.

I think if you were to go on it, it could be very rewarding as people have the opportunity to travel around Europe, seeing cities with an informative and incredibly camp guide in Brendan.

The show generally shows the group having a day of fun, today they have been enjoying painting with a Greek guide who took a fancy to Brendan and have also enjoyed a mud bath. The show is good fun, filled with people who are either nice or a bit boring, it doesn't have the cut throat nature of Come Dine with Me or Big Brother.

I would recommend this show to a range of people its good enough for older people and younger people and is a good crack.

It appeals in the same way as the sitcom 'Benidorm' its a good laugh showing Brits in all forms trying to enjoy themselves and it does become a bit addictive after a while!

I like the show in a gentle way, people row about Cliff Richard or how bored they are rather than have real antagonistic quarrels so its enjoyable without being aggressively so.
