Advantages: Dave Lamb's sarcasm, good entertainment value, refreshing each time.

Disadvantages: Lasts half hour.

Come dine with me has been on Channel 4 for a few years now but still it is refreshing and still has me glued to the TV. Come dine with me comes on Channel 4 at 5.30 pm in the weekdays but is always repeated somewhere whether it be channel 4 +1 or more 4.

So what's it about? Five strangers take it in turns to host a dinner party each day of the week and then secretly score them a combined mark out of 40. One with the highest score wins the £1000. You would think that sounds easy to do but in reality you can watch how a dinner party can go so wrong. The Programme lasts half an hour. It features the host's preparation, what the other people think of the menu and each other, nosey around people's houses, commenting on each course served and the evening as a whole and then giving their scores. With Dave Lamb as the commentator you know your in for fun with his sarcastic view of the contestants, their preparation and evening as a whole.

The collection of strangers put together is brilliant you just know you in for entertainment with people rubbing each other the wrong way, put with those you would not choose to socialise with ever, wacky and strange personalities at times.

Majority of the time you get to see a dinner party fall completely apart with the odd rare night going right. Its more like showing you how not to give a dinner party. Some of the food people cook is just terrible but they still mention the recipe is on the Channel 4 website. I'm definitely not watching this show for the recipes but more to have a good laugh. Sometimes I think I am a bit weird but its reassuring to see there are total loonies out there. Anyway its good to see people cooking and giving it a try.

They sometimes do celebrity versions which is an hour long which is also fun to watch as it shows they are not perfect as they seem.

Great entertainment at tea time.

Summary: Come dine with me
