Advantages: Dave Lamb!

Disadvantages: If you miss an episode of a five episode week it can be frustrating

I had no idea that this show would be featured on here.

My fiance and I are absolutely addicted to this show. We watch the repeats on More4, the hourly long episodes and even watch some via Channel Four's internet site.

So what is the appeal of this show? Well I think there are two elements. Firstlu, for those of us who like to cock its entertaining to watch others to see how good or bad they are. Secondly, the wonderful Dave Lamb, the commentator who, without which the show would be pretty dull.

Obviously there is often an attempt by the makers of the show to get strange and unusual people to feature and I suppose that adds to the entertainment value, but the voyeuristic nature of getting entertainment from people who are clearly unaware of just how strange they are, or just how bad at cooking they are, is truly something special. Coupled with the wit of Dave Lamb (some of whose lines are scripted, some adlibbed), who holds no prisoners as he mocks the contestants on their psuedo arrogance...especially when the contestants always behave as if everyone else is worse than they and cannot possibly present a challenge.

A great show and well worth checking out.
