Come OutsideNewest Review: ... always learning something . Occasionally, childrens stories are read out by Auntie Mabel too . Now, I've watched this show for years, and Auntie Mabel has always niggled me - I could recognise her, but never knew where from . Today, out of sheer frustration, I decided to go look it up , and discovered she played Nurse Gladys Emanuel in Open all Hours! I quite like Auntie Mabel - she's calm ... more |

Any parent with a child knows that for at least a little bit every day, you're going to be stuck watching whatever they're watching. My daughters favourite channel at the moment in Cbeebies, and Come Outside is quite a decent semi-educational programme that is shown on the channel quite regularly. The show focuses on the adventures of Auntie Mabel, and her dog, Pippin. Each show starts with a basic story going on at mabels house, such as the water being turned off, or her needing to go and buy some bricks, and then progresses with Auntie Mabel flying off in her spotty aeroplane to some factory or warehouse somewhere, and viewers getting to see an educational ... Come outside This is going to sound really said from a 27 year old mother of three but I love come outside This program is designed at pre-school children and I my children have liked it from about 18month and the oldest still likes it now, she is 4 and half. The story of come outside is this: A lady who in the first episode tell us she is auntie Mabel (don't know were the auntie bit comes from maybe to make the children feel like she is part of the family) Auntie Mabel has a dog called pippin. In every episode auntie Mabel and pippin go off in their spotty plane for an adventure and they show us how some thing ... Read the complete review

Come Outside is a lovely and soothing programme on CBeebies which is both educational and entertaining for children of most ages. It has a lovely theme tune and features the adventures of a lady and her dog. My son loves watching it. In fact, I would go so far as to say that he is transfixed whenever it is on. Each episode is roughly 15 minutes long, and features Aunt Mabel and her dog, Pippin. Mabel has a spotty aeroplane which they use to travel around the country, visiting farms, schools, parks, etc, to see how things are done and how we can make a difference and learn new things each time. It's quite amusing to see the two of them in the plane each time, ... Read the complete review

There are a few programmes my 17 month old daughter will sit through the whole duration of, giving me time to leave the room and actually get something done. Come outside is one of them. I think it's all thanks to the star of the show Pippin the dog. Come outside is a programme aired on CBeebies about a lady called Aunty Mabel and her dog Pippin. They have various adventures flying through the sky in her spotty plane and visiting lots of different places to tell the children an educational and informative story. Each episode is set around a certain subject. Usually this will be finding out how something works, and going to the factory or the start of the ... Read the complete review
