Coronation Street Reviews

Newest Review: ... Kirk Sutherland and Beth Tinker. These characters rarely have serious storylines and I think that's how it differs from Eastenders in that the whole programme isn't all doom and gloom when these characters are around. Obviously it doesn't represent real life, there is no street in the world that has all this drama going on all at the same time, but then no one would watch it if it was based on real life as it isn't always that interesting. I think Coronation Street is very entertaining with a good mix of serious and funny storylines with characters for everyone to relate to.... more

Coronation Street is Britain's longest running soap opera, now running for over 50 years and has always been popular since the outset. It's set in the fictional town of Weatherfield, which is on the outskirts of Manchester. It's actually filmed in Manchester itself so any of the outside shots will be familiar to anyone who knows the city. On the street where it's set, Coronation Street, we follow the lives of all the families through all their ups and downs. The programme has dealt with a huge variety of storylines and always deals with them sensitively and presented with proper research having been done. Abortions and miscarriages, drug ... Coronation Street is a soap which has just celebrated their 50th birthday! It has shown over 7620 episodes over that period, and you can watch it on ITV1 on Monday at 7.30 and 8.30, Thursday 8.30, and Friday 7.30 and 8.30. Each episode is 30 minutes long and the show has and will feature many different actors and actresses. The story is set in Greater Manchester, on a street, and if you hadn't already guessed it's called Coronation Street (!). The show is about characters that live on Coronation Street and how they all have their own problems, but their pathways all cross at some point. The storyline features the usual soap material: pregnancy, ... Read the complete review

Coronation Street is a British soap which celebrated its 50th birthday last year. The soap is set in the fictional town of Weatherfield, in Northern England-Manchester to be exact. Coronation Street is shown on ITV, and there are normally five 30 minute episodes aired per week. The normal schedule for the show is: Monday: 7:30-8pm 8:30-9pm Thursday: 7:30-8pm Friday: 7:30-8pm 8:30-9pm Coronation Street is one of my absolute favourite programmes and it has been for around 12 years, and will probably continue to be for a long time. I currently live in France but I still never miss an episode, which some ... Read the complete review

Coronation street has been on our screens for over 50 years. Its such a great soap for all the family. I watch it, my mum watches it and so many people i talk to about it watches it. Overall it is really good, but it does seem like the writers are running out of stories as it does seem rather strange at times but its still good to watch. Cobbled streets and terraced housing i admit doesnt sound that fascinating but try it for a couple of weeks and you will certainly be hooked. Iv been watchign it since the age of about 11 and its just fascinating what stories the writers camn come up with next. Tram crashes, Murderers, fake deaths.... the stories just never seize to ...
