Coronation Street is a long running soap, which is aired Mondays twice, Wednesdays and Fridays. The soap is based around the residents of the street in Weatherfield, and their antics.

The day to day lives of the cast vary, with those still in school, shop workers, factory workers, and the famous Rovers Return, in which every member of the street seems to spend a considerable amount of time!!

The storylines vary, with murderers such as Tracey and the new Tony Gordan, antisocial teenagers such as David Platt, and nosey neighbours such as Norris, who likes to pry into every aspect of peoples personal lives!

The soap is set around northern humour, and is written to amuse and delight viewers, rather than other soaps such as eastenders which just seem to contain doom and gloom.

It is pretty easy to pick up on coronation street if you are not a regular viewer, as the storylines are changing all the time but back references are made to fill you in.
