There are very few programmes that we can say that we have grown up with, but this certainly is one of them.

The characters are amusing, and yes probably predictable! It's a classic show that hopefully will live forever and no doubt our children will grow up watching it to.

The story lines are believeable and not far fetched unlike many other soaps. Brookside has one disaster after the other and at least Corry has balanced it correctly. In real life we wouldn't have a major crisis every day would we and most days are fairly mundane and this is what this programme portrays.

I would recommend anyone to pay a visit to the Granada studios and stroll down the Street. You won't be able to stop yourself looking in the letter boxes. It wasn't what I expected, I imagined being able to see the rooms. In actual fact it is only the door way that is decorated, the rooms are only breeze blocks and tall lights or bags of bits and pieces. The Rovers Return is tiny! Don't expect an identical premise, I won't spoil all the surprises for you. It is worth a visit and makes the programme even more interesting to know how it's done.

Long live Corry. I know I'm sad!
