Coronation Street

I have been watching coro for as long as I can remember and I must say that the latest story lines in general are the worst in a long time. It seems to me that too much attention has been given to the younger audience and not a lot to the fact that the whole family would like to enjoy it, like the old days. Most of the old stalwarts have been either killed off or retired up north. All we see now is a bunch of kids trying to be actors, leave this to Home and Away! The storylines are either farcical or totally politicaly orientated. The introduction of the doctor and his wife is an absolute farce, I am sure it helps for school children to see that the main purpose in life for a teacher is to get out the booze bottle when she finishes school and for her husband, the local doctor, helping her in every way. Get the script writers working on more storylines for les and his wife, at least we can be sure of a good laugh at the end, Dont these writers imagine that people like to be entertained when they watch their favourite soap, especially around mealtime. Give us back our light entertainment.

Trouble is sooty that most of these youngsters dont know who Ena is. Bring back Dennis Tanner. It all went down hill when Hilda went.
