Advantages: sexual innuendo, hilarious moments, great cast
Disadvantages: none
Coupling has been called a 'British version of Friends' by some but realistically it's as good if not at some points, funnier than Friends and just because it has 6 main characters (3 girls 3 guys) doesn't make it the next Friends.
Anyway, Friends issues aside this show is comedy gold. It follows the lives of...
Jeff (the paranoid/strange guy)
Patrick (the stud who has a wardrobe full of videos of women he's slept with)
Steve (who can never say the right thing)
Jane (the dizzy one)
Susan (the down to earth blonde)
Sally (the beautician obsessed with aging)
The show spanned 3 good seasons with a slight change of cast in season 4 that finally ended the shows short but sweet life. The humor is frequently orientated around sex with comedy gems from Jeff on such matters as 'The Melty Man' and the 'Sock Gap' (the exact point you take your socks off when getting undressed) keeping you in stitches throughout.
The paranoia of Sally and quirkiness of Jane makes this show unmissable and kept many glued to the TV's during its reign. Though fairly popular for a time it seemed to lose popularity when Jeff left and i believe this is what finally ended it.
Don't expect hugely complex plots, expect innuendo, cringe worthy moments and a whole lot of laughing.
A true british classic we can all relate to at points
