Advantages: Big heart, very genuine and down to earth
Disadvantages: None really
Millions of us watched the final hours of Big Brother and I don't think a single one of us could begrudge Craig winning the show. Firstly he won a lot of respect for confronting Nick but also just simply for being a straight forward, likable chap. He was very much a stereotypical Scouser but he was totally genuine which shone through. But the main reason he deserved to win the £70K was because of what he did with it. I don't think too many of us would have been thinking about giving any of it away never mind the whole lot. And I've got to say big respect to the makers of the programme for matching the prize money for Craig's friend. People can say what they like about the show but at the end of the day if Craig's friend gets her operation to save her life then it's all been worthwhile.
Craig got some very unfair stick within the house for being lazy, not pulling his weight with the tasks and housework. I thought this was all down to Caroline's arguement with him infront of everyone. It came from him having a genuine injury and not being able to do his first couple of stints in the bike. I hardly think Craig would have missed doing that if he wasn't injured. He was probablt glad to get a bit of exercise given that he's goes to the gym every day normally.
I've been surprised by the lack of publicity for Craig's fund raising since the end of Big Brother. I did hear that the Royal Bank of Scotland were taking donations at their branches and that Chris Evans donated the last £50K he needed but apart from that, nothing. But knowing Craig, he's probably just getting on with his life now.
