Crimewatch UK is a show which is on once a month and it is about people attempting to try and find witnesses to crimes that have been committed. You have a few presenters who talk to the police and also the families of the people who have been murdered or robbed and they try and establish any potential information which could help lead to an arrest. They produce role play methods to try and see what people think and remember and they try their best to give people any possible leads and show you CCTV footage if there is any available and pictures as well. Usually after the show has finished they will come back later in the night and give an update on how they ... Read the complete review

A programme that comes on once a month and scares the living daylights out of me, but somewhere there is the nagging thought that I've missed out, hence me watching behind the safety of a pillow! I can't admit to having been an avid watcher from the offset - way back in 1984 I would have been the grand old age of 5, and therefore not of an age to watch. Just in case there are some folks who don't know about this programme - the idea behind it was an inspiration from various programmes already being aired in the UK, America and Germany. With these shows, there were elements that were not to the liking of the potential producers of Crimewatch, for example, the ... Read the complete review

Crimewatch UK is a BBC programme which is on roughly once a month and aims to bring light to the public criminals who are wanted and crimes that have been committed as well as making people aware again of events that may have happened a number of years ago and where the culprits have still not been found. There have been a number of presenters over the years and one of them was Jill Dando who was murdered outside her home. Crimewatch had a reconstruction and eventually her killer was found and imprisoned. A number of crimes are covered on Crimewatch such as murder, rape, theft, burglary, muggings, stabbings, shootings etc and they have a part in ... Read the complete review

Beating crime is an extremely crucial thing to do, so Crimewatch for me is one of the most important shows on TV. The show was first broadcast in 1984, and was presented by Nick Ross and Sue Cook. The format of the show is that it shows reconstructions of crimes such as murders, rapes and robberies. Numbers are then given out to the watching public if they have any information. The show has helped to arrest hundreds of criminals over the years. Sue Cook left Crimewatch in 1995 and was replaced by Jill Dando. In 1999, to the shock of the entire nation, Jill Dando was murdered outside of her house. On the next episode of Crimewatch, it was her ... Read the complete review

I first started watching Crimewatch UK as far back as 1984. This is when it first started. It doesn't seem like 25 years ago. At the time it was fronted by Nick Ross and Sue Cook. I'm sure you can remember them. It was Nick at the end of the programme who used the well known phrase 'Don't have nightmares..............do sleep well'. Sue left in 1995 but Nick kept on in there until 2007. During Nicks time there he had two other presenters with him. The presenter after Sue was Jill Dando. Most of you will remember her as a lovely looking 'girl' who was sadly murdered outside her own house. After Jill it was Kirsty Young until 2007. At the moment it is being presented by ...
