Advantages: Helps solve crimes

Disadvantages: It may give ideas

Crimewatch, no longer presented by Nick Ross, shows crimes that the Police need help with. It is a good show as it may deter criminals from commiting the crimes, then again it may give them ideas.

It keeps showing the phone numbers if you know anything about the crime. There is also a borad with some of the people wanted, you then told details and if you know then you can confidently phone in and give information. I think the confidential phone number is good, as people are more likley to phone in.

They do a lot of re-contructions to help you see the crime, but as I have never witnessed something and then a reconstruction, I don't know how goog they are and alike they are.

I am actually watching it now, and the re-constructions are very interesting, and I think that they are good to know what to avoid with the criminals and what they do.

The Crimwatch update, shown a few hours later are useful as you can see how many people phone in, and what cases are solved because of Crimewatch.

I would reccomentd if you are in on your own, to lock up before watching, as it may scare you.

Don't forget, that they are on TV because they don't happen often and are rare.
