I first stumbled across this wonderful programme a few weeks ago, whilst doing the almost ritual "flicking through every single cable channel because there's nothing on". I wouldn't have watched if it wasn't for the other people who had joined me, shouting "STOP!!!" Nature programmes? Pa. What a load of tosh. I still think this. But for some reason, Croc Files is the exception. I mean, who is this stupid yet hilarious Australian prancing across my screen? I saw this programme for the first time a good while after I had watched its parent programme, crocodile hunter. The star of this is the stunning steve irwin, who seems to prefer playing with deadly reptiles and gators than Nintendos and girls. This programme is a smaller version of crocodile hunter, and looks at steves work in the australia zoo that he runs. It is a little older (and has steves great old haircut) and has a format that splits it into small segments. Each episode focuses on small parts of steves life (as well as his life Terri) It is a good way to learn about the zoo, and the animals ther but i think its more fun than anything. Watching ... I started watching Croc Files and Crocodile Hunter because it seemed to have become a cult programme with people at work. All I heard was Steve Irwin this, Steve Irwin that. So I thought I'd switch on. All I saw was a maniac Australian wrestling crocodiles and grabbing snakes. Very funny and quite entertaining I thought, but not enough to sustain regular viewing. But then.... I realised my two sons, aged five and three were glued to the screen. They loved Steve Irwin! 'So what', I hear you say.
