Advantages: Interesting and entertaining

Disadvantages: I have the boxset and I can't just watch 1 episode!

I really love the whole CSI franchise. I only started watching last year after losing the remote for my tv and having to watch Five US all night! CSI New York is the third in the franchise after CSI Las Vegas and CSI Miami. I keep switching between Miami and New York as to which is my favourite. The amount of different stories that they use are amazing and so far I have never come across an episdode that looks similar to another.

Detective Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) heads up the NY team, with Stella Bonasera (Melina Kanakaredes) at his side. The other CSIs are Danny Messer (Carmine Giovanazza), Lindsay Monroe (Anna Belknap), and Dr Sheldon Hawkes (Hill Harper).

For a bit of background, Mac Taylor is an ex marine who lost his wife Claire during the 9/11 bombings. recently her son, who was adopted at birth, cam looking for his Mother, only to find that she was dead. During the last season Stella shot her boyfriend Frankie after he tried to kill her after she dumped him after she found he was videotaping them in the bedroom. Lindsay and Danny in currently in a relationship and Hawkes in an ex doctor who spent the early part of his career working in a hospital then when he left, he worked in the Medical Examiners office.

Totally compulsive viewing and highly recommended!!
