Why did they have to end it like they did, this was a fantastic programme that I loved and when the final series ended as it did I was gutted, but still half hoped that they would carry on for another series as this was one the greatest dramas that I has seen on the BBC for a long time. Based in Manchester Allie Henshall played by Sarah Parish and Gavin Ferraday played by Jason Merrells are husband and wife and business partners, they own Henshall Ferraday a hairdressers and Beauticians where Allie's sisters Darcey played by Angela Griffin and Sydney played by Sian Reeves work alongside them in the salon. Cutting It! The popular series on BBC eventually had to come to a close in 2005. But I loved this series and still do. Cutting it was a drama based on a salon in Manchester. Finn still loves Allie and eventually they get together (I was gutted!!!). In the end Allie decides to stay with her previous husband and finish things with her new ...  Read the complete review

'Cutting It' is shown on Tuesdays on BBC One, it stars Amanda Holden and Sarah Parish and is a new drama series essentially about love and hairdressing! It's 60mins long and is on for the next five weeks. Now you may understand why it took me some time to persuade my fiance to watch it with me! I'm afraid it didn't hold his attention for very long, but I have to say I enjoyed it. This is another good drama from the BBC: written and produced by Debbie Horsfield (credits include Sex, Chips and Rock 'n' Roll) Cutting It presents believable characters and dialogue and is well directed. If you liked Rescue Me, Cold Feet, Linda Green and ...  Read the complete review
