Advantages: wonderful
Disadvantages: not enough series
Why did they have to end it like they did, this was a fantastic programme that I loved and when the final series ended as it did I was gutted, but still half hoped that they would carry on for another series as this was one the greatest dramas that I has seen on the BBC for a long time.
Based in Manchester Allie Henshall played by Sarah Parish and Gavin Ferraday played by Jason Merrells are husband and wife and business partners, they own Henshall Ferraday a hairdressers and Beauticians where Allie's sisters Darcey played by Angela Griffin and Sydney played by Sian Reeves work alongside them in the salon.
A vacant property is opened across the road as a new hairdressers and to add insult to injury it is owned by Allie's ex Finn and his wife Mia Bevan played by Amanda Holden.
Unfortunately the past has come back to haunt Allie as Finn was the father to the child that he thought Allie had aborted years ago, but she had not she gave birth to the child.
With another 3 series the story unfolds along with Allie getting back with Finn which was obviously not want we want to see so luckily in the last series Gavin and Allie get back together, although there are far more problems to face as nothing runs smoothly for Allie as she is discovers she has cancer, what will happen in the end you will have to watch it to see but you will not be disappointed, the only disappointment is that they ended the series in the prime.
I have to say that Sarah Parish is a fantastic actress and she deserves an award for her role in this as she plays a great all round character throughout the series and Jason Merrells also gives a really convincing performance in his role too.
Well worth seeing if you missed it, just a shame I feel like it ended when if could have carried on or had the ending completed with more details with what happens in the end, it left me with a lot of unanswered questions.
Summary: sarah parish does it again
