If you have never seen Dales Supermarket Sweep, it is a camp UK game show with the annoying fake Dale Winton as the host. Contestants consist of three groups of two people and it is their job to do several supermarket games and challenges and compete to run the sweep at the end of the show. The top prize is two thousand pounds. During the sweep, the winners have to solve word puzzles on a piece of a cardboard and are guided by the answers around the supermarket to the money. I love the show but there are so many things that peeve me off about it. Firstly, Dale Winton! Now i have nothing against camp people but he is just overly camp and ... Read the complete review

I love watching some game shows as they are normally so tacky but at the same time great easy watching entertainment. One of my all time favourites is Supermarket sweep. The show originally aired on our screens in September 1993 and had 2 series until 2001. They them went on and re branded it in 2007 as Dales Supermarket sweep. It was originally aired on ITV and now you can see re runs of it on Challenge TV, although it's not currently showing them at the moment but watch this space! The main idea of the show is there is three teams consisting of two players, they each have to get as many points as they can to have the longest possible time to run at ... Read the complete review

Supermarket Sweep was a game show which was hosted by Dale Winton. It ran from 1992-2001 and then again in 2007 for 60 episodes. The aim of the game was to collect as much time as possible and then use that time to dash around the Supermarket collecting as many goods as possible. There were three teams each comprising of two members and sometimes these were couples, friends, workmates or relatives. The couples would all be introduced throughout the first half of the game by Dale and he would tell you their name, occupation etc and sometimes embarrassing or interesting facts about them. For the first half of the show the teams would ... Read the complete review

Supermarket Sweep is naff and tacky. The entire ethos of the programme is to see people shop and win prizes by so doing. Now you may be forgiven for thinking that a programme which is basically seeing people shop would be dull but Supermarket Sweep has one special ingredient - Dale Winton. There is a brief quiz element at the beginning which establishes how much time the contestants have to perform their supermarket dash. The contestants are all of the performing seal variety and clap inanely between each question. I know they are told to do this but it does look silly. Once the quiz is over the final element involves a dash around the supermarket. As ... Read the complete review
