Supermarket Sweep is a classic game show from the 90s which was broadcast on ITV. It was hosted by Dale Winton and involved three teams playing against each other. Each team would be made up of 2 players.

In the first half of the game, the teams would compete against one another in a number of quizzes and puzzles in order to build up time on their clocks. Each team starts with 1 minute and they get an extra 10 seconds for each correct answer in these various rounds.

In the second half, they have the time they built up to dash round the supermarket filling their trolleys with items. There are bonus items around the supermarket and also you get a bonus 100 points if you get the three items on Dale's shopping list. At the end all the items in each trolley are totalled and the team with the highest value wins.

The winning team then has one minute to dash round the supermarket solving the clues to find the three required products. If they do this then they win the £2000 star prize.

I really enjoyed watching this show as it was highly entertaining to watch as well as being quite amusing. I also think Dale was the perfect host for it, I wish they would bring it back for a new series.
