Advantages: Mildy entertaining especially if they fall

Disadvantages: Lacks that certain quality

Dancing on Ice is ITV's attempt to usurp Celebrity Come Dancing on the BBC however it has failed to grab the same number of viewing figures or interest, having said that thanks to the efforts of one of the hosts Holly Willoughby it does get a fair amount of attention as she tends towear frocks that accentuate her bust much to the joy of the tabloid press. The other host of the show is Philip Schofield who does bring a bit of class to the whole thing with his smooth vanilla style of presenting while Willoughby is about as stiff as the male viewers todgers.

Like Come Dancing the celebrities are paired with some skaters ad then they are coached by Olympic gold medallistsTorvill and Dean, the shows that show them in training are always interesting especially as there is a real risk of injury.

In each show they perform a dance and then they are picked apart by a panel of judges, the weakest two enter a skate off and then it is down to votes to see who stays and who is eliminated.

I find this show reasonably entertaining even if I have to contend with my boyfriends constant call fo the camera to be on Holly, it is not something I would go out of my way to watch but will do if nothing else good is on.
