Advantages: Entertainment, torvill & dean

Disadvantages: None..maybe Jason

Sunday's are meant to be boring and lazy. However Sunday nights are now the best thanks to Dancing On Ice. I think this is the best reality programme ever. Hosted by Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. Also joined by the fabulous world champion ice skaters Torvill and Dean.

This programme consists of Celebrities (non skaters) and their professional partners learning new routines every week. One celebrity gets voted off each week. They get judged by a panel of 5 judges and get a score out of 6. However, the judges score is only 50% of the vote, the other half is entirely down to the public, so whoever is at the bottom of the leader board doesnt necessarily leave the competition that night.

The Panel :

Jason Gardiner - this guy quickly got his reputation for being Mr Grumpy already. He's not scared of putting is opinion across and often comes out with very harsh comments.

Karen Barber - A lighter judge, also coaches the celebrities so knows more than anyone how well they have come on and how hard they try.

Robin Cousins - Knows all about dancing on ice being the pro that he is, gives constructive criticism.

Ruthie Henshall - normally says and does everything Jason does/says.

Nicky Slater - Don't know much about this guy but he seems to know his buisness. He isnt as bad as Jason so, that helps.

The Celebrities (Girls)

Zoe Salmon - Zoe often found herself in the bottom two and when up against Jessica, she left the competition. I guess it comes down to fan base..

Roxanne Pallett - Emmerdale Actress Roxy is an under-rated skater. Very light on her feet, elegant skater, glided across the ice. She took a lot of flack from the judges especially Jason Gardiner, but she held her own. Sadly went out.

Melinda Messenger - our lovely Melinder. Ex model and also TV presenter is great to watch on the ice, very dainted and angelic. But when in the bottom two with Jessica, she went.

Jessica Taylor - ex liberty X singer, like Zoe, often finds herself in the bottom 2 and happens to be one of the best skaters in there.

Gemma Bissix - We didnt see much of the ex Hollyoaks star, she went out in the first round. She wasnt the worse skater but, this is how it goes people have bigger fanbases.

Coleen Nolan - Our Loose Woman presenter and ex Nolan singer isnt the best skater on there, infact shes probably the worse of the final 4 but if someone deserves to win based on how hard they try and entertain - thats Coleen!

Boys

Donal MacIntyr - Donal, Donal, Donal. Why is this one still with us? I guess he tried hard and survives skate-off but i don't get him at all hes a bit like Ellery, quite clumsy. Still in the competition.

Ellery Hanley - ex Rugby player. I didnt quite get Ellery, i thought he was quite clumsy at times and stayed longer than he should. Glady he went few weeks back.

Graeme La Saux - former England footballer, not as good as the rest and he went.

Jeremy Edwards - ex Hollyoaks actor and is gorgeous to look at. He was kinda elegant and had great posture on the ice but sadly he went too.

Micheal Underwood - Tv presenter first came on the show last year but due to an injury breaking his leg he had to leave. He's not very good with balance and co-ordination this one and he left the show.

Ray Quinn - Shot to fame through the X-Factor and also a westend star. ray scored his first lot of 6's 2 weeks ago and clearly is the best on the show. Very talented and is favourite to win but in my opinion i don't think he will !

Todd Carty - Ex Eastenders actor and is the worse skater i have ever seen but the most comical one. If ever a show needs entertainment send him on. He was so scared of letting go and Jason Gardiner has a field day with him. At one point during a routine he skated totally off set and had the studio in stitches aswell as us. The public adored him and kept him over the better skaters. Todds dream ended a couple of weeks back though. Sadly missed.

I have only watched the last two series and i recommend people start watching it. Even if it's just for Torvill and Dean's performance at the beginning of each show, it is amazing to watch and they still look like they skate as one. Dancing On Ice comes on every Sunday between 6:30-7pm it changes every week. Your bound to be entertained by this show whether its the foul-mouthed Jason, the useless skaters or the fantastic pro's Torvill & Dean.

Summary: Celebs learning to skate
