Advantages: Great voice overs

Disadvantages: None

Danger Mouse is a great cartoon that I remember from the early nineties as I was growing up however it was only in later years that I finally realised the famous name behind his voice.

Danger Mouse lives with his faithful servant Penfold who is a hamster in a red letter box and in each episode he is called upon to save the world from the evil plots of the toad Baron Von Greenback.

The great thing about this cartoon is the fact that the voice of Dangerfield is provided by Del Boy himself David Jason while the rather timid and nervous voice of Penfold is provided bt Terry Scott. Edward Kelsey provides he oice of both Baron Von Greenback and Colonel K who is Danger Mouse boss.

The animation in this short cartoon is pretty good and while the storylines can be slightly repetitive the real humour comes from the off hand comments and puns from the character of Penfold who is not the bravest of sidekicks.

In addition the show has a great signature tune which is now going around in my head.

Summary: Fun cartoon

I introduced my kids to this cartoon delight a few years back now and at 19 and 21 they still love it. Penfold for Prime Minister!
