Newest Review: ... happy to be cast as "hard men" and gangsters. Danny Dyer stayed with them in their homes and to be honest, seemed a little cringeworthy at times by playing up to their gangster lifestyles. I am not a huge Dyer fan, his mockney accent seems false and his frequent references to his drug fuelled, party lifestyle are a little boring. In this series, Dyer acts impressed by some of the stories these deadly men tell, which to me, just seem to glorify the criminal lifestyle. Danny Dyer's Deadliest Men I recently watched this series and did enjoy parts of it, though some was a little bizarre and left me feeling uncomfortable. Basically, each episode follows Danny Dyer as he meets some of the most notorious and so called "deadliest men" in the country (none of whom I had ever heard of prior to watching). There was a variety of men featured, most of whom seemed quite happy to be cast as "hard men" and gangsters. A programme I have taken to watching recently is Danny Dyer's Deadliest Men which is shown on Bravo at 9pm on Monday evenings. Here the actor Danny Dyer spends some time living with some of the most dangerous men in the country; ex-SAS men, gangsters, general tough guys and bare knuckle fighting travellers feature in the series along with countless other examples of the partial underworld around the country. Although I haven't come across Danny Dyer often, in fact I didn't even know he was an actor until fairly recently, he strikes me as a very good choice to present this style of programme.
