Dating in the Dark

Ive been watching this show for the past few months and i have to say that i think its really good. Im easily pleased and amused when it comes to tv shows so it doesnt take a lot for me to like a show. Dating in the Dark manages to take a 30 minute format of a show and stretc it out into one hours TV, it is TV on the cheap at the best of times but for me the show does not really warrent a one hour format. It is a dating show where six single people, three men and three women, usually on the young student age of the spectrum and all looking for a relationship are esconsed in a house which is divided into two parts with the boys and girls seperated, the only time they get to meet and communicate is in a room that is in total darkness, the idea being to see whether personality and communication skills can be more important that looks alone. Dating in the dark is currently screened on Living T.V. This is a bit like blind date but the only difference is all of the dating is done in pitch black. There are six singletons 3 men and 3 women, they live in 2 houses that are attached to each other but apparently dont see the opposite sex at all. The first date is a group one and then they decide who they want to date from first impessions. There is a compatibility test telling the contestants who they should date. To be honest I'm not fussy in what I watch on T.V so when I came across the reality tv show Dating in the Dark on living the other night I was soon engrossed. Dating in The Dark is as I've said a reality tv show that is shown every Wednesday night on Living at 9, and repeated at 10 on Living plus! The programme consists of 6 strangers, three men and three women, varying ages, sizes, looks, professions etc. Each of these 6 people are looking for love - and for some reason they are doing it in the dark?! Every time I think that reality television shows have gone as far as they can go by creating the most outrageous or the most unusual show they always come up with something to beat it. Now I'll watch anything going much to my boyfriend's complete horror as I normally force him to watch it to, so you can imagine how horrified he was when I suggested we watch this new show. The title alone was enough for him to dismiss it as being absolute rubbish!
