Advantages: Tense tense tense!

Disadvantages: Fast forward to the end!

I have been lucky enough to see deal or no deal in a few different countries...the American version had beautiful ladies opening the boxes, in Italy it was like being in a mad surreal world and in Australia a huge studio audience take part and you don't hear from the banker.....

I decided that there is nothing quite like the British version of this show.

I 'Virgin Plus' this show every day...and after 900 odd episodes I must admit to fast forwarding each episode to the last ten minutes...or just before 'five box'.

I love the way that Noel gets involved in the show and he has a unique way of making every episode of this quiz show feel like the first one. He gets involved with each contestant and allows them to stamp their own identity on the show. He has a whole range of people as contestants...old ladies are a favourite (those who recently watched Mary win £75,000 will know what I mean here!) and lots of young people starting out in life too.

Occasionally, they have themed weeks which are exciting as they often have additional prizes, such as holidays or weekend breaks for the contestants to aim for.

The simplicity of the game is what makes it so addictive and knowing that every contestant has the chance to win the big jackpot makes it even more exciting...there is of course nothing like a cliff hanger and the contestants that end up with two boxes, one for £1 and one for £50,000 (for example) makes this show great. Fortune often favours the bold and it is edge of the seat stuff.

They have a unique way of editing the show too...they must have cameras on all of the contestants at all times to catch those facial expressions and moments of sheer joy and despair!

This is a must of a show, even if like me you fast forward to the end of it for the dramatic climax, in terms of quiz shows, I think it stands out as one of the best on Tv currently and it has to be said that this is due to Noel.

Summary: A must for the quiz show fan!
