Deal or No Deal is the show in which Noel Edmonds relaunched his career, in a show where contestants open boxs hoping to gain big prize money.

In the show an independant auditor places the amounts of money from 1p to £250,000, in boxes that are number from one to twenty. Each contestant then recieves a box, which stays with them for the whole of the show, although there can be an exception for the person choosing which boxes are to be openned. Then at random the person that is to play the game is chosen from the twenty contestants. This person then sits next to Noel and will usually go on about their life story for a while and then the game starts.

After a few boxes are open the contestant will get a telephone call from the banker, mysterious person that only Noel talks to, who Noel jokes with but only he finds the jokes funny. This contines after every couple of boxes are open, the higher the prize money left the higher the banker will offer, lower the prize money the lower the amount the banker will offer. The final offer that the contestant may recieve is the offer to transfer their box to the final box that is left to open from the remaining nineteen.

I have only watchd this programme twice and I did not like the show one bit. Noel is over the top and one of those annoying personalities that we all love to hate. while the contestants on the show will usually give their life story and they will usually get emotion. When I tune in to watch a programme, especially a quiz programme, I expect to be watch the actually show, not a person sitting there giving their live stories.

Another point is can this actually be a quiz, as when I tuned in I thought that it would at least show the contestants to have some skills, but all the show shows is that a five year old could play the game. With the problem that it is on all the time, and just after watching two episodes it became repetative.

I did not like the show and will not be watching the show, but that is me. I would not recommend the show to anybody but if a person asked me about it I would say why, but I would tell them to watch to make their own mind up.

Summary: One I wouldn't recommend

I quite like it for easy watching, I like to see how greedy a person is, I agree though, there is no skill involved and any idiot could open the boxes. And the one thing that really annoys me is the invisible banker!

I agree that Noel is over the top, but I do find this watchable when I am in the right mood.
