Dempsey & Makepeace

You can still catch Dempsey and Makepeace on ITV3 where the re-runs of old episodes are shown. This was a British detective series that originally went out in the eighties and the two lead characters were two police officers ho were totally chalk and cheese characters. Makepeace is played by Glynnis Barber and she is a bit upper class while Dempsey played by Michael Brandon is an American detectoive forced to leave New York after his partner is shot and he becomes a target due to police corrruption so he is transferred to England to keep him safe.
