whilst alot of people get a little bit freaked out by derren brown, instead i just find him fascinating. This was his first series and has since spawned trick of the mind, trick or treat as well as numerous specials. the feats that he does are great. he compines psychology magic, illusion, misdirection and showmanship in order to create tricks and feats that no one had ever done before. i don't want to spoil his show by giving away some of the stunts he has done, but chances are you've heard of this man and you know exactly what hes done. Some of the small things he has done is working out who and when people ar lying, picking peoles pockets without them realising ... Read the complete review

Derren Brown's Mind Control was tested as a six part series and first aired in 2000, before this incredible man went on to create a whole new world of shows containing never before seen psychological techniques. Though he gets branded more as a 'psychological illusionist' more than anything else, Derren Brown has learnt most of his techniques from the subjects of mentalism, magic, psychology, nlp (neuro-linguistic programming), hypnosis, mnemonics, body language and psycho-linguistics - a very varied mixture of some very advanced techniques. Of course, the guy must be a genius in order to be able to master all of those techniques. Or is it the techniques that made him ... Read the complete review

From the most ordinary of beginnings in the clutches of Croydon in Surrey, a young University student by the name of Derren Brown decided on a life changing career in hypnosis purely by chance. After an inspirational dip into such a ‘job,‘ he became fascinated with psychology, illusion and magic, yet staying firm that anything to do with ‘the other side of life,‘ as Colin Fry affectionately terms it, is a belief best left to the believers. As time went on, he delved into deeper questionable theories. Quickly learning magic, he embarked on mind reading and suggestive techniques to prove that the human mind was easily ’suggestible.’ Eagerly focusing on how a person ... Read the complete review

Derren Brown has been in the public eye for a few years now, and its about time that people with a form of celebrity status have talent, just like Derren. He never claims to be a psychic or Mind contorller. He openly admits that his stunts are carried out through Psychology, suggestion and showmanship and believe me he is certainly a showman. His Mind control programme showed him using a number of techniques that showed him to posses the ability to read minds, but of course the synics amongst us don't believe in such rubbish. And the biggest Synic of all is Derren, He openly admits that he doesn't believe in psychic abilty, so if that what you thought he was, ... Read the complete review

I first started watching Derren Brown's Mind control about 4 months ago (approximately) and i was immediately gripped by his skills. His tricks and his 'magic' are things thati have never seen attempted on TV before, a total new idea. This is something that TV now lacks. His programs have since done nothing but get better but with my own personal favourite being 'Mind Control', unusual, gripping television. He uses psychological methods, misedirection and many other techniques, even the quick slip of a hand, something that you'd expect to notice. He's not just a magician, he's an absolute genius by being able to get inside peoples heads and make them believe. ... Read the complete review
