Event 1: How to Win the Lottery. ----------------------------------------------- On a wednesday night derren brown clamied that he could predict the lottery numbers; which he did. I've always thought that Derren Brown was an absolutely fantastic entertainer and his shows and live tours have been amazing. I have honestly no idea how he does it! So when the events came up I was very excited as I knew just what to expect - a high level show! In hindsight maybe I expected too much because I think the Events were a bit hit and miss at best and certainly not in my opinion to Derren's usual standard. In 'predict the lottery' Derren spent time showing the audience how he get a group of people to work on a system where they predicted the lotto balls, and then he showed them live next to a TV showing the draw. Derren Brown's latest set of stunts, in exception to the Science Of Scams videos that are currently happening online, was a series entitled The Events with the first event being the main one - he was going to predict the lottery! Quite obviously an impossible task... and there was a lot of dissapointment over this... even though everyone knows it's impossible Derren did actually give the illusion that he done it... which he didn't. To be honest, I think a lot people miss out on the whole point of what Derren does and unfortunately on the first event, there was supposed to be a little twist at the end which went a bit wrong and kind of ruined it. The twist ... Read the complete review

Derren Brown's Events were a major hit right accross Britain. The events were developed by Derren himself over a year period. He initially realeased an advert a week before the events were broadcasted on TV, showing himself walking accross a road, with cars driving backwards and cyclists riding backwards, and others driving forwards. You couldn't understand what he was saying as it was played backwards but if you rveersed the audio you would hear Derren introducing his events. The first of his events was a lottery prediction. He hosted a 10 minute show, at an unknown destination at the time of the Lottery show. He had his prediction in plain view of the camera ... Read the complete review

These shows have certainly got everyone talking, it has to be said! From those who love Derren Brown, like myself, to those who hate him, these shows have been watched by a lot of people and were intruiging and controversial! The first show centred around the incredible feat of Derren predicting the lottery. This was amazing and everyone was talking about it, but the Friday night explanation was seen by most to be disappointing, as it wasn't actually explained and the explanation given didn't add up at all. The second show was the attempt to stick people to their chairs. Now, it didn't work for me, but I greatly enjoyed the programme, especially ... Read the complete review
