Advantages: can make you laugh and cry and there is never a dull moment

Disadvantages: none

Desperate Housewives is my favourite programme of all time! It is based around the lives of the women who live in Wisteria Lane. The main characters are Lynette, Bree, Susan and Gaby. They are all very different thus bringing their individual qualities to the show. Lynette is a working mum with 4 children who has battled cancer, Bree is the ultimate cook with her own business, alcoholic and dodgy husband, Susan is dippy but lovable with a complicated love life and Gaby is materialistic and often selfish but very funny too.

The show began in 2004 and has just finished the fifth series. I only started watching it in the second series and am totally hooked on it. I have laughed and cried loads whilst watching it. The show is different as it is narrated by Mary Alice who lived in the street but who killed herself in the very first episode.

In between the 4th and 5th series the producers took a chance and jumped the show forward 5 years. Initially I found it hard to get my head around the fact that Gaby who was very vain and selfish now had 2 children but it has given the show new life. Obviously it is far fetched but I think that adds to its appeal.

I would recommend watching it and can't wait until the next series!

Summary: Best programme I have ever watched!!
