Advantages: Clever, action, very good

Disadvantages: Not suitable for ppl who do not like gore

Dexter is a police/ crime program, but with a twist! Rather than see the crime through the eyes of a normal police man, you see crime through the eyes of a serial murder! This program follows the life of a man named Dexter, who works in forensic science (he works analyzing blood). As his works allows him to see who is corrupt or "evil", he then uses the "code of harry" to kill them.

Harry, was his step dad, who was a policeman. (Dexter's real parents were murdered, Dexter was "rescued by Harry). After finding out that dexter enjoys killing things, Harry taught him how to not only kill people without being caught, but who to kill. Dexter only kills people who wrong others, (such as rape, murder and so on) and are out of reach from the authorities (some maybe unknown to them, others may have been released from a trial, and so on).
This program contains lots of action, and has an incredible story line. Furthermore, by seeing the world "through the eyes of a serial killing" it gives this program something that no other crime programs has. What more, is that the beginning of this program (the intro bit) is so good, it won an award (can't remember who gave the award and what it was)
The only problem with this program is that it does contain some gore, so not for people who do not like that.
