Advantages: Entertaining enough for day time TV

I can not say that I am an expert on daytime television, as I hardly have the luxury to be able to sit at home between 9am and 5pm, and not hav much else to do than watch what happens to other people's junk. But recently about of flu forced me to enter into the great unknown, and that is where I came across Dickinson's Real Deal.

The concept of the programme is quite simple to understand. Members of the public bring their antiques, and get the opportunity to meet experts who will value their items, and then offer them a price to buy the item. The person can then turn down the offer, and take the item to auction, in the hope of getting a higher price for their item.

Hosted by the ever flamboynt, but incredibly nice David Dickinson, it was a fairly enjoyable way to spend my morning. If it was on at prime time TV, I doubt whether I would be watching it.

It can be educational for those interested in antiques, but if you are not an antiques fan it will probably not hold much intetrest to you.

Well, at least it didnt make me feel worse....

Summary: Entertaining enough for day time TV, but not for everyone
