Dickinson's Real Deal (Dickinson's Real Deal)

Advantages: Good fun light hearted show Disadvantages: non
I normally find that afternoon TV is boring and not worth the watch especially when there's antiques on the cards. However, one afternoon when flicking through the TV channels I found myself stopping on Dickinson's real deal mainly because of how overly tanned and orange David Dickinson is. So while glued to this orange glow I actually started to enjoy the programme itself. People come with their antiques and sit in front of a dealer who in turn try's to buy it from them offering on the spot cash for their items. The owner then can choose whether or not to take the cash offer or take the product to auction in hope of getting a better price for their antique. Sometimes the owner will get a better price and in some cases a lower price than what was offered by the dealer, that's the gamble of the show. The aim of the "game" is to get the best price (or the real deal) for your antiques. Really a simple concept which I find really well. I love seeing what the people bring in for the dealers to try and buy, things which are unique and different which you don't see on a regular basis, and I am quite pleased to find that most of the products which fetch the biggest amounts of money where found on car boot sales. Summary: Great fun to watch! |
