I first got into this series about 6 years ago and I tend to leave it on series link on my Sky box. Fair enough I am not interested in every topic they cover, but you never know. This series is on Channel 4 at 8pm on Mondays. Also available on Channel 4+1, Channel 4 HD and More 4. The programme lasts for 1 hour. So what is the programme? It is a documentary series that tackles modern day issues. This show doesn't have presenters, but there is a narrative through the programme. It is always about real life. If you have a thirst for knowledge then dispatches is the programme for you. Covering a range of subjects there is sure to be something that tickles your fancy. As a bit of a documentary addict there is nothing I enjoy more than a bit of dispatches on a Thursday evening, no matter what the topic. what is excellent about dispatches, is that while some documentaries will only show one side of a topic, dispatches goes the extra mile to ensure that only the truth is aired. We might all come from the same genetic blue print but unfortunately that is where the similarity lies when it comes to investigating what makes some people tick. One such programme that sets out to seek the truth and nothing but the truth is channel four's Dispatches. It undercovers a vast array of stomach churning topics for the discerning viewer and because it is hard hitting, uncensored journalism it makes it incredibly difficult to digest. Pure shock and utter dismay are but some of the emotions I felt during last night's Dispatches programme. Channel four is of course renowned for having a no nonsense approach to journalism and this programmes ... Read the complete review

----<The Program>---- Dispatches dares to go where most programs won't, war torn Chechnya, Afghanistan, Iraq and some African countries most reporters wouldn't touch with with a barge pole, the "Undercover" reporters do their "best" to give an accurate account of the truth, the program, over the years, has become as much a part of Channel 4's T.V forecast as Panorama has on BBC 1, or Tonight with Trevor McDonald on ITV. ----<Topics>---- Tackling issues from the "Taliban's" rule in Afghanistan (which was an excellent venture into this dilapidated country), to this Monday's look at the escalating ... Dispatches is a Channel 4 program which runs Panarama-style, investigating and reporting on issues. Now, Panarama-style programs are something which I normally love, so you'd think I'd normally be all over this thing. And I would be, if I could trust Dispatches. But I can't. The problem is that a program like this is only as good as its chosen experts and its bias. Become careless about these, and you're not reporting any more, you're just promoting hysteria. A few months ago I watched a Dispatches episode that focused on the credit crunch and subprime issues, focusing specifically on Northern Rock. As a Northerner, Northern Rock's fate ...
