It is about a time travelling alien who is called the Doctor; there has been 10 doctors at the moment with the current doctor being played by the amazing actor David Tennent; however David Tennent will be leaving over the coming new year and taking his place will be the youngest ever doctor Matt Smith. The doctor travelles time and space in his Tardis (space ship). He always seems to stumble across aliens and monsters that are trying to destroy the earth and sometimes even the universe. I've watched Doctor Who ever since I was a child, starting with Peter Davison. I've always liked the premise, but felt that with the crappy special effects of the later years, it was difficult to stomach, especially when you had American importants on offer such as Star Trek. But then came the restart with Chris Eccelston. DW has from that point onwards truly been a great show. It has reached its peak with David Tennant and I only hope Matt Smith can continue to carry the torch. The First Doctor Some people find it hard to go back to the old shows, but William Hartnell's performance was wondeful. It set the premise for the mysterious ...  Read the complete review

~What is it~ Doctor Who is British science fiction series about a time travelling 'man' who also happens to come from the planet Gallifrey, and is a 'Time Lord' - in fact the last of the Time Lords. He is known only as The Doctor, and he travels through space and time in his blue police box which he calls The TARDIS. TARDIS stands for Time and Relative Dimension(s) in Space, and is bigger on the inside. Doctor Who originally aired for 1963 - 1989 and then was reborn in 2005 by the BBC, and is now incredibly popular. Everytime the Doctor dies he regenerates into a new body, to date there have been 10 doctors. William Hartnell ...  Read the complete review
