Advantages: Brilliant cast and fun to watch

Disadvantages: David Tennant is leaving!

When Doctor who made a come back I was sceptical as to the results. with christopher eccleson as the leading man he brought a lively role to the programme. The show is a sci-fi programme based on a time-lord called the doctor who travels in his tardis (spaceship) through time and space basically saving as many planets as he can. Every other planet he saves seems to be the Earth in a different time zone or universe and you get to see interesting perspecives of what Earth might look like in the future with robots etc or in the past around shakespere times!

The doctor usually has a female accomplice who in this case is played by billy piper. She plays a very good role, playing a down to earth and attractive character, she succeeds in stealing the Doctors heart. Whewn David Tennant was given the role of The Doctor the rating went through the roof. He is absolutely fantastic! Lively, funny, dangerous and exuding sex appeal, he brings the entire programme to life - bounding around your screen tkaing on aliens and causing many characters AND viewers to fall in lvoe with him! His reign is coming to an end and i can't say whether or not Doctor Who will retain its brilliance without him.

Summary: Brilliant programme for all the family
