Advantages: Used to be an amazing show!!!

Disadvantages: The last 2 series have just gotten too much of a muchity!!

Well Doctor Who is well older than me!! Its become popular once again in the last few years with the newer series with Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant playing The Doctor. The show has now become one of the most famous and best know sci-fi drama on TV. Especially with the youngsters...! When the first Doctor Who series was out, it was more of an adults TV programme, but now its got a range of followers, from 5 year old boys, right through teenage girls, college kids, young adults and old adults!!!

When the first "new" series came back onto our screens I must say I was very reluctant to watch it, I HATE sci-fi, Star Wars, Star Trek, all that rubbish, I cannot STAND it!!! Lol, and so when I saw the adverts with Daleks and aliens, I just thought oh for christs sake just leave it in the 80's and get on with it...but one night I was home, bored, nothing to do, and on came Doctor Who...I think it was something like the second episode of the 1st "new" series. And I fell in love with it!!! I thought Christopher Eccleston was amazing, funny, just amazing!!!!!! And although I thought that Billie Piper would just make the show awful, she had a certain charm as Rose which just made her character so lovable!!

The first few series were amazing, when the change of Doctors came about I got rather sad until I fell madly inlove with David Tennant!!!! Haha, and so after one episode all was good again!! The first few series had a mix of "years" which the Doctor went to with Rose, It tended to go in a past, present future kind of pattern, which was great cause you got a great mix...

then came Rose's departure....and from then, in my opinion the show has really gone downhill....Billie Piper left, and the love of the show left with it, the show kind of turned into something it wasn't. The shows started to more present time, than past or future. Which gets VERY bring...how much can happen to London...and why ALWAYS london!?!?!?!

The last two series have just not been enjoyable for me at all, there wasn't the same repour between the characters, with Rose and The Doctor, there was always something unspoken between the two, and when Rose left, in my opinion the Doctor should have been left on his own. But instead the other girl (comletely forgotten her name!!!!! Freema Agym or something..!!)
came in, and I don't know, the show lost a lot!!!

In conclusion, maybe the show shoulg just give up now....a new doctor is coming into it in 2010, but maybe they should just axe the show at the end of the 4 specials they have planned for this year... end on a good thing rather than letting the show slip further and further down hill!

Summary: The first few series of the "new" Doctor Who were great...but its gone downhill now!
