Advantages: Real life issues covered and interesting characters

Disadvantages: It's on the same time as Neighours ! (So I miss it!)

Doctors was first broadcast by the BBC in 2000. It is a daytime drama/soap about a doctor's surgery. It was originally set in Riverside surgery. The surgery was run by Dr. Brendan 'Mac' Macguire and his wife, practice manager, Kate Macguire. It explored the typical issues doctors and patients would face in a surgery. Real life issues are covered to make a big impact on the audience.

A few years later Kate and Mac split up and Kate left. New practice manager Julia, took over and her and Mac fell in love and got married. Another partner surgery was intoduced; Best practice. An explosion rocked the surgery and a new one was built - The Mill health centre. Mac and Julia continued to run it; until Mac cheated on her with ex-wife Kate. Mac left and Julia gave Mac's position do Dr. Joe Fenton. Doctors in more popular than ever and rivals former BBC soap Neighours which has recently moved to channel five.

Summary: Doctors makes compelling viewing

8 years of this soap - you could give more ongoing plot detail, more cast details etc.
