Dog BorstalNewest Review: ... or passing with a distinction. The trainers usually do a good job on the dogs and I don't think I have seen one fail yet! We then get to see the dogs at home a few weeks later and their owners tell us how much there dogs have improved. This programme is great for dog owners as you can pick up a few tips. It is also good for dog lovers just as entertainment. Dog Borstal has often had me in tears as some of the owners are at the end of their tether and if it wasn't for Dog Borstal they would have had to get rid of their dogs. It really is a great show!... more |

This programme is on BBC3 and is great if you have a naughty dog or just love dogs! It is 1 hour long. Each week 3 dogs and their owners go to "dog borstal" for various naughty behaviour such as excessive barking, aggression and just general doggy naughtiness! The dogs stay in the kennels and the owners have to live in a tent for the week. The programme starts with us getting to see the dogs at home going about their daily business so that we can see what their behaviour is like. We then go to "dog borstal" with the dogs and owners where they spend a week being trained by one of the specialist trainers. I am not ... Read the complete review

i apsolutely love this program. if you are a dog owner/lover i think you will too. it is on bbc3 and is always on for an hour. people with naugty dogs go on and each have their own trainer (there is 3 trainers, 1 is hilarious-mick). whilst the trainer is helpin train the dog and owner, the owners have to stay in a tent (which you also see very short clips of). Not only may you be able to relate with the fed up owners but you will also learn some good techniques to use on your own dog which can be helpful. The owner and trainer don't always get on (especially with mick) which makes the show even more interesting along the way. Most of the time the dogs are completely ... Read the complete review

For any of you people who have already read my review titled ' sex with mum and dad???' which reviewed the channel BBC Three you will have seen that one of the shows that they screen is Dog Borstal and it is currently one of my favourite shows being aired on the channel. Dog Borstal is a show in which dog owners with problem pet take their pampered pooches to what is basically a dog offenders institute to be corrected. Each program focuses on three different situations which can consist of a family or individual with one or more dogs. Each dog problem is assigned one of three correction officers to see if the dogs behaviour can be ... Read the complete review

Well I can’t believe it’s happened. One minute I’m holding firm against the notion of owning a dog, the next the dam has burst and I’m being flooded by canine addiction. No sooner had we adopted our pooch then I’m suddenly hooked on the BBC3 programme - “Dog Borstal”. The concept of this particular series is the rehabilitation of the most hardened of doggy miscreants. Following a strict formula every week, “Dog Borstal“ is billed as the last-resort boot camp for canine criminals and their hapless owners. Having been through one series, the screening recently shown was the 12-part second series and this is where I picked up the trail of the recalcitrant pooches. Each ... Read the complete review
